The mission of the Chief Pay & Accounts Office is to:

• Ensure timely, accurate and rule-compliant processing and authorization of Government payments.
• Maintain and consolidate the accounts of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration and render them to the Controller General of Accounts.
• Provide efficient pension, GPF and NPS-related services to Government employees and pensioners.
• Strengthen financial discipline, expenditure control and compliance with applicable rules and procedures.
• Provide professional financial and accounting advice to Departments, Heads of Offices and Drawing & Disbursing Officers.
• Promote transparency, accountability and responsible utilisation of public funds.
• Leverage digital platforms and technology to simplify financial processes and improve service delivery.
• Strengthen the professional capabilities of the Accounts Cadre through continuous learning, training and capacity building.
• Promote a responsive, citizen-centric and service-oriented approach to public financial management.
